Thema: Bochs unter Linux

Hallo,
hat jemand schonmal Bochs unter Linux installiert? Wenn ja wie geht das?

mhhh irgendwie kommts mir so vor als ob du nur das machst was du ent kannst...
also:
es gibt 2 möglichkeiten:
du lädst dir den source und machsts von "hand" (solltest wissen wie das geht wenn nicht lerns) oder du nimmst das packetsystem deiner distri (solltest auch wissen...)

ich hab Debian 3.1 und dafür gibts kein Paket und bei Source komm ich nicht weiter!

bieg die dateien nen bissel um und nehm das paket für 3.0, die sollten auch gehn (ich hab z.b. irssi vonner 3.0 drauf, trotz 3.1)

zum selber compilen: lad dir source, entpacken, ins verzeichnis wechseln.
dann musst du in dem verzeichnis ./configure machen und dann einfach make && make install
sollte zumindest so gehen. wenn nicht guckt mal bei ./configure --help

Wisst ihr ob Bochs irgendwie ins Internet geht, oder so (ich hab keine Firewall drauf)

meines wissens geht bochs nicht ins internet

gehts nich, warum sollte es auch??? meine firewall hat mir bis jetz auch nix angezeigt... höchstens wenns ne netzwerkkarte oder sowas simulieren soll dass es dann über die echte geht, mehr könnt ich mir nich vorstellen

Bochs geht nicht ins Internet, höchstens das Gastbetriebssystem im Bochs, wenn es denn eine Netzwqerkkarte emuliert bekommt.
Wäre auch blöde, wenn der Emulator sich selbst versorgt (ok, bei M$ könnt' ich's mir vorstellen, aber bei Bochs ... ne danke)

Das Prob. Hatte ich auch, zumindest für mein Debian Sarge gibt es da ein extra-Pakete für die diversen Bochs-Display-Module (x, wx, sdl,...)

Ich habe das für X genommen, und halt das normale bochs-pkg sowie die docs.

Ach, benutz doch Synaptic und such nach Bochs oder wenn du keinen GUI benutzt, nimm aptitude
